WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Member of Parliament for Charleswood-St. James-Assiniboia, Steven Fletcher, issued the following statement today on the passing of Harry Enns:
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a great Manitoban, Harry Enns.
Harry was widely known as the ‘Dean of the Legislature’, a reflection of his close to 40 years as a Member of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly and distinguished service under four Progressive Conservative Premiers.
Personally, I will remember Harry as one of my earliest supporters. Among other things, he played an important role in uniting the Federal Conservative movement here in Manitoba.
I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Harry’s friends and family.”
